Thanks for learning about the referral program

Since MLOps Club is small and independent, referrals are the primary way we fill our courses. If you decide to become an affiliate, THANK YOU for helping me (Eric) keep making courses and leading cohorts.

Step 1

If you are already a student, it is convenient for you if your Paypal email is the same one you use to log into the course platform. Otherwise, you will need two separate logins to access the affiliate portal to track your referrals.

Step 2

Register with the button below, and agree to the terms and guidelines.

Step 3

Students can attribute their signing up to you in the course application. You or they can reach out to us if they forget.

Step 4

Get 20%

  • Of the price of tuition after scholarships and discounts

  • Paid out within 60 days of the student signing up

  • For students who do not receive a refund

Step 5

Check the spam folder of your Paypal

email for an email from mail.mlops-club.org

to view your referrals!

Referral Program Guidelines

Guiding principles of the referral program

For you

1. It should be appealing to trust your network with any of our courses--and to work with MLOps Club.

2. The content quality should be high, so you feel genuinely helping your contacts by referring them, rather than like a sellout.

For MLOps Club

1. It should be financially sustainable to run courses and cover our costs.

2. Promotion tactics employed by us and our affiliates should not harm our brand (or yours!). Be ethical, professional, and tasteful.

Do not...

  • use affiliate links. They are not reliable yet. Instead, have the student give you credit by entering your name in the course applications.

  • cannibalize Eric's or the MLOps Club's network,

    • e.g. do not comment on posts we make saying something like "I can refer you!" The point of the referral program is to bring in students who are not already in our network.

    • Do not promote the course to existing students

  • harm MLOps Club's brand. When promoting our courses...

    • do not over promise

    • only recommend it to those you genuinely believe it will help

    • do not "spam" invites on public channels. Set context. Use your best judgement to determine where and how to appropriately promote the content.

Do...

  • promote MLOps Club courses to your own network, using whatever medium you like, e.g.

    • word of mouth

    • blog posts

    • newsletters

    • collaborating with other creators

    • sharing our posts with your network is terrific. We encourage you to do that or write your own content.

  • try to help students know if a given course is right for them--or which course is right for them.

    • Note, unfortunately the Udemy course "Taking Python to Production" is not set up for referrals. It's low-enough price that there would not be much compensation for it anyway. But the retention rate of those who finish that course before the later MLOps Club courses is 100%.

Note, the referral program is young and the guidelines will likely change over time.
